Preparing the firmware and checking its download.

I’m using the 4.26-inch Silkscreen board, and I understand that installing can erase its saved settings.

This build is not for an Xteink reader or the 3.68-inch Silkscreen variant. Keep USB connected until installation finishes.

You’ll choose a port and confirm installation before anything is written.

A minute to get set up

From cable to reader.

Plug it in

Use a USB-C cable that carries data. Wake the board if it’s asleep.
Give it the port

Close any serial monitor or other flasher, then connect and choose your board in the browser’s USB port list.
Install, then restart

Follow the installation dialog. Once it finishes, restart the board if it doesn’t return to the reader on its own.

Board not appearing?

Try another data cable or USB port, wake or reset the board, and close programs using its serial port. If the firmware prevents USB from appearing, follow the board’s download-mode instructions.

What gets installed?

One complete firmware image, including the bootloader and partition table. It replaces the current firmware and may reset settings stored in internal flash. Back up anything important before installing.
